United States President Donald Trump has finally conceded defeat after acknowledging that his tenure at the White House has come to an end.
The controversial leader said he would allow “orderly transition” of power to President-elect Joe Biden.
Trump told American people on Thursday morning after failing in all his attempts to overturn the November 3 presidential election.
On Wednesday, America became a subject of ridicule internationally as Trump supporters stormed U.S. Capitol. The act has been widely condemned.
In a statement tweeted White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino following the news, Trump said: “Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless, there will be an orderly transition on January 20th.
Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris would be sworn into office later this month.
