Nigerian chef, Hilda Bassey, aka Hilda Baci, has surpassed the Guinness world record for the longest cooking hours by an individual.

The current record holder, Lata Tondon, an Indian national, cooked for 87 hours 45 minutes in 2019.

Hilda surpassed the record this morning and is to set a new record of 96 hours. The 26-year-old chef intends to cook till 4pm, May 15, as Nigerians await the official confirmation by the Guinness Book of Records.

Hilda Baci’s Biography

Hilda Baci was born on September 20, 1996, in Akwa Ibom State. She is a multi-talented Nigerian chef, host, TV producer, and entrepreneur who started her journey from grass to grace. Baci schooled at Madonna University Okija, where she studied Sociology.

Hilda started her career as a chef in 2020, and today she has built a name for herself and a brand. She is currently the chef head and CEO of @Myfoodbyhilda, with several locations and branches all over Nigeria.

Hilda Baci has an estimated net worth of $250,000, which she earned mainly from her cooking career and as a YouTuber. Baci also hosts her cooking shows on different television platforms.
